Although these pieces are made to last for many years, please use care. All handmade pottery can be fragile in nature, and From Tree To Sea cannot be held responsible for breaks in the future. All glazes and clay used are food and drink safe, and although each piece is dishwasher and microwave safe, gentle, nonabrasive hand washing is recommended as sudden changes in temperature may cause stress to the piece. From Tree To Sea ceramics ships worldwide using Canada Post Standard Mail or Air Mail (depending on package size). I currently use a flat rate based pricing for international orders based on weight. Customers are responsible for all customs charges as due upon delivery - please refer to your local customs office for more information.
A quick note on why shipping is so expensive! The weight, size and destination of an order all are factors in the shipping price. As ceramics are fragile by nature, extra care is required to package each order to ensure it arrives safely. Several layers of bubble wrap and kraft paper are necessary, and add extra weight and size to the shipment, increasing the cost. However, please be assured that I take all measures to reduce shipping costs to customers where possible (recycling and re-using bubble wrap, wrapping paper and boxes).
Made-To-Order pieces will ship out within 3-8 weeks of the order being placed. Around this time you will receive shipping confirmation (with a tracking number if located within Canada). If something is time-sensitive, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or let me know in the Notes section at time of checkout.
Please allow up to 5 business days for processing and packaging of your order. Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a notification via email. The following are delivery estimates from Canada Post based on your location:

Orders are sent via Canada Post Standard Mail and include a tracking number. Delivery time will depend on your location and is estimated to take up to 10 business days. If you are located within the downtown Calgary area, please contact me prior to placing your order and I’ll be happy to arrange for you to pick-up your order in person!
delivery to the USA
Orders are sent via US Air Mail and do not include a tracking number. Delivery time will depend on your location and is estimated to take up to 10 business days.
Orders are sent via International Air Mail and do not include a tracking number. Delivery time will depend on your location and is estimated to take up to 15 business days.
returns & exchanges
All sales are considered final – at this time I cannot offer refunds or exchanges.
All wares are entirely handmade. As such, each piece may vary slightly in size, shape and colour. These characteristics are not considered flaws, but rather a tribute to the organic nature of handmade goods. Unless there is a flaw in functionality or goods do not arrive all in one piece, custom orders are not refundable or returnable.
Ceramics are properly packaged to avoid damage during shipping, however, should any damage occur please take a photo immediately and contact me within 3 days of receiving your order. We will work together to find a solution, whether it be a full refund or a replacement piece (note: As some of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, your replacement may not be exactly the same as your original, but I will do my best to find a solution that works on both ends. Replacement items may take up to 6 weeks to complete). Shipping charges will not be refunded.
